BARNWELL SOCIETY LUNCHEON
2017 Solar Eclipse – The Path through Idaho
Thursday, August 31
Alumni and Friends Center Ballroom
Members of the Barnwell Society are invited to join Dr. Brian Jackson, assistant professor with the Boise State University Physics Department for a lunch presentation regarding his expertise of the August 21, 2017, Solar Eclipse.
On the morning of August 21, a solar eclipse will be visible across most of the continental United States. This is the first eclipse since 1979 visible from Idaho and the last for the next 150 years. For two hours, the Moon’s disk will cross the disk of the Sun, completely blotting it out for a total eclipse for about two minutes during the height of the event.
If you are a member of one of the Barnwell Society, please join us by emailing email@example.com.
